Jason Wing’s art challenges the mainstream understanding of Australian history through a cross-cultural lens.
Artist Jason Wing’s Chinese, Aboriginal, and Australian heritage has given him a different take on Australia’s history – and he uses his art to help share this perspective.
He explained his approach to Karina Marlow of NITV:
“My main passion and focus is empowering minority groups. Specifically Aboriginal culture but it extends to all minority groups…” he says.
Wing is excited to be part of a ‘fierce’ new wave of Aboriginal artists who are focused on highlighting discrimination faced by Australia’s Indigenous communities.
